Dr. Daniel Blash
Dr. Blash is the Executive Clinical Director of Blash Counseling Associates. He is a long-time St. Louis resident and an experienced clinician and educator with a proven track record of nearly 20 years of successfully helping individuals and family. Dr. Blash provides faith-sensitive therapy that addresses the whole person: mind, body and soul. He is up-front and candid with his clients, holding them in high regard and providing a judgment free environment for healing and growth.
Dr. Blash holds a BA in Psychology, a Masters in Counseling and a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
Dr. Blash has worked with a variety of clients from all age and cultural backgrounds. He
has seen tremendous success with youth, adolescents and adults. 95% of his marriage counseling couples have successfully worked through difficult issues and remained married. 98% of clients who
suffer from depression report improvements within the first few sessions; the majority of those clients are able to beat depression without medication. Dr. Blash has had great success with clients
who suffer from borderline personality disorder and OCD.
Dr. Blash’s community involvements are extensive: His agency provides free backpacks and school supplies to over 100 under privileged children in the Old North St. Louis school district and funds a free weekly tutoring program for grades k-12. Dr. Blash has given educational lectures and presentations in over 30 states and 5 countries. He recently presented in Sacramento, CA on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and the Neuropsychology of Peace. Dr. Blash has presented on similar topics in Accra, Ghana (West Africa); Okinawa, Japan; Wiesbaden, Germany; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Dr. Blash is a decorated combat veteran of the US Army. He enjoys traveling to military bases around the world although he is partial to Germany.
